The first part deals with the life of Tobias, also called Tobit. Among other figures, Willy Wiedmann has portrayed the story of Sarah, whose seven bride-grooms all died on their wedding nights because she was beloved by a demon. The book of Judith portrays the salvation of Israel through a widow of the same name, who beheads General Holofernes. The right hand of the Persian king Haman wanted to have all the Jewish people within his kingdom murdered on the same day. Queen Esther was able to avert the danger.
